Galway recruitment company CCP Recruitment’s Principle Consultant Deirdre Finnerty took home gold on Friday night in Dublin at the National Recruitment Federation in Ireland (NRF) awards, claiming the prestigious title of Recruiter of the Year. The NRF Awards are the Oscars of the Recruitment world and showcase and honour the key leaders and the best in the business, on a national level.

Established in 1997 CCP Recruitment has offices in both Galway and Cork, is a generalist agency with a strong track record in recruiting Technical Engineers for blue-chip companies. The Galway Company was also shortlisted in categories including Agency of the Year, Best in Corporate Social Responsibility and Best in Engineering, Science & Pharmaceutical.

From Mayo but living in Galway, Deirdre, who has worked for CCP for over 8 years manages the Technical Engineering desk which places Manufacturing/Process Engineers, Automation Engineers, Project Managers and Packaging Engineering candidates into key positions around Ireland.

Speaking on the company’s short listing and Deirdre’s win, Company Director Roisin McNamara said “We were honoured to be shortlisted in four categories by the NRF. This is our industry’s governing body and being recognised in these four categories is a testament of the service we deliver and our contribution to the recruitment sector. We were confident Deirdre would win the award of ‘Recruiter of the Year 2015’. Although this is an extremely competitive category she is an outstanding Recruiter and deserved the recognition as being the best among her peers”.

“It is a privilege to win this prestigious award. I’m grateful to the NRF for enabling a platform to showcase recruitment excellence and I am over the moon to come out on top in this very competitive category. I’m fortunate to work with a fantastic team in CCP. Both Michelle and Roisin have been hugely encouraging and supportive of my professional development as Principle Recruiter. I’m very proud to work with such a great company and feel honoured to bring this award home to Galway,” explained a delighted Deirdre Finnerty.
