Happy Irish National Employee Wellbeing Day!

Happy Irish National Employee Wellbeing Day!

Are you tired of feeling like work is taking over your life? At HERO Recruitment, we believe that a happy employee is a productive employee. That’s why we’re taking the lead in prioritising employee well-being. In this blog post, I will share some of the initiatives that our workplace has introduced to contribute to our well-being.

First and foremost, we know that time is precious. That’s why we offer the option to work a 4-day workweek. Imagine having a three-day weekend every week! This policy has given us more time to focus on our personal lives, pursue hobbies, and take care of our physical and mental health. The reduced stress levels have improved morale and created a sense of balance between work and life.

We also recognise the importance of physical health in maintaining overall well-being. Sitting at a desk all day can lead to physical strain and poor posture. That’s why HERO Recruitment introduced adjustable standing desks. The ability to switch between sitting and standing throughout the day has reduced physical strain, increased energy levels, and improved posture resulting in fewer aches and pains.

But it’s not just about physical health – mental health is just as important. To combat the afternoon slump, HERO Recruitment has introduced daily exercise sessions in the afternoon. These sessions are fun, engaging bursts of squats, push-ups or planks with memory games thrown in to kick-start cognitive ability. They have been incredibly effective in boosting energy levels and reducing stress while building camaraderie amongst colleagues.

Speaking of camaraderie – team building activities are excellent for fostering positive relationships between colleagues. At HERO Recruitment we prioritise team-building activities designed for teamwork, communication, and collaboration building stronger connections with each other.

We’re always looking for new ways to make our workplace more enjoyable for everyone! Currently, we are trialling weekly tennis competitions during lunchtime as an opportunity for employees to unwind at midday.

At HERO Recruitment, we’re proud to have a positive work environment that prioritises employee well-being. Employers that prioritise employee well-being benefit from increased productivity, improved job satisfaction, and reduced turnover rates. We hope more workplaces will follow suit and prioritise employee well-being in the future.

Join us in creating a revolution in workplace well-being!
