This job opening is for an Equipment Design Engineer (Contractor) in Galway, reporting to the Senior Equipment Design Engineer. The role is hybrid and onsite, and the candidate can discuss their preferred working location with the Talent Acquisition Specialist.
The Equipment Design Engineer will work with the Equipment Engineering department to design, manufacture, and improve equipment and tooling for the production of medical devices. Their responsibilities include generating equipment designs, investigating new technologies, providing technical leadership, coordinating activities, working closely with technicians, ensuring equipment solutions are delivered within budget and schedule, and complying with quality requirements. The candidate will work closely with internal and external specialists and participate in Continuous Improvement projects.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Candidates are required to hold an Engineering Degree equivalent to or above NFQ Level 8.
- Candidates must have a demonstrated track record in the design of equipment. Experience of AutoCAD/SolidWorks, Pneumatics, Workshop Equipment, and Machine Building will be essential.
- The person should have a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.
- Good communication skills combined with an imaginative and creative approach to problem solving.
