Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Operations Production Manager with a strong background in quarry construction to oversee and optimize our production operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities, ensuring efficient and safe production processes, and driving operational excellence. This role requires a thorough understanding of operations, construction materials, and industry regulations.

Operations Management:
  • Plan, organize, and supervise all activities related to production.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety among the team.
  • Optimize production processes to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Manage resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
Production Planning and Scheduling:
  • Develop production plans, schedules, and targets in alignment with company goals.
  • Coordinate with sales and demand planning teams to meet customer requirements.
  • Monitor production progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve production methods and workflows.
Team Leadership and Development:
  • Lead, coach, and motivate a team of personnel, including operators, technicians, and support staff.
  • Set performance goals and provide ongoing feedback and performance evaluations.
  • Identify training needs and develop training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.

Equipment and Maintenance Management:

  • Ensure proper maintenance and availability of equipment.
  • Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams for equipment repairs and upgrades.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
  • Evaluate equipment performance and make recommendations for equipment upgrades or replacements.

Quality Control and Compliance:

  • Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure production of high-quality materials.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with environmental regulations and permits.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement.
  • Investigate and resolve any non-compliance issues or customer complaints.

Budgeting and Cost Control:

  • Develop and manage the production budget, including labor, materials, and maintenance costs.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to optimize production expenses.
  • Monitor and analyze production costs and variances, taking appropriate actions as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5 years) as an Operations Production Manager in the quarry/construction/Agri industry.
  • Strong knowledge of quarry operations, construction materials, and relevant regulations.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in managing and developing teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in production planning and scheduling tools.
  • Solid understanding of health and safety practices.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skill.
