R&D Engineer II
Duration: 12 months

Responsibilities may include the following:

• Work as part of a team to design, develop, analyze, troubleshoot and provide technical skills during research and/or product development.
• Designs in silico studies to investigate specific life science questions within field of expertise.

SPECIALIST CAREER STREAM:

• This role is for a Finite Element Analysis Engineer working within the Modelling & Simulation group for the Structural Heart & Aortic business.
• Delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results.
• Will be expected to be capable of working as an individual contributor to deliver on project specific work packages while working with the departmental FEA team for collective knowledge sharing and development.
• The majority of time is spent delivering and overseeing the projects from design to implementation while and adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills normally acquired through advanced education. Ideally Must Have:
• Investigation and root cause analysis skills.
• Technical writing knowledge.
• Organization and communication skills.
• Process Validation and computer software validation knowledge.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

• Requires practical knowledge and demonstrated competence within Finite Element Analysis typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
• Requires a Level 8 engineering degree and minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of experience.
