Reports To Divisional R&D Manager

Job Purpose Working to test and develop new and existing products to ensure robust design and performance criteria are delivered.

Core Activities

• Project manage new developments and product improvements
• Record and detail development data including reports, drawings
• Analyse and review test data to optimise design and product performance
• Work effectively in conjunction with other engineers and technicians
• Liaise with other department functions including technical, engineering, operations
• Report and present updates on project status and timelines
• Operate in compliance with ISO 37301, 9001, the company handbook and Code of Conduct
• Follow the appropriate EN standards and country codes for product development

Qualifications/ Education / Experience / Skills / Key Characteristics

• ME or BEng lev 8 in Mechanical Engineering
• Working knowledge of Solidworks & AutoCad
• Knowledge of FEA, ideally ANSYS
• Hands on approach in mechanical testing, building test rigs,
• EN certification & regulatory compliance knowledge
• Good people and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects through to completion
• Innovative, creative design ability, open minded
• Be willing to travel, when there is need
• Full Clean Irish/UK/EU licence required
• Ability to work safely and apply good housekeeping in all areas of work
