Supply Chain Operations Manager – Materials & Warehousing  (Cork)

Are you ready to take on a dynamic role that shapes the heart of our clients drug manufacturing warehouse in?  Join as Supply Chain Operations Manager for Materials & warehouse at their cutting edge biologics drug substance manufacturing facility in Cork

Their Technical Operations group is at the forefront of drug manufacturing, from clinical trials to commercial production.  They are committed to quality and regulatory standards, and are looking for a leader who shares their dedication.

The Role

You’ll be the linchpin in their mission to ensure a steady supply of life-saving drugs to patients worldwide.  As the Material Operations Manager, you’ll lead a talented team to oversee a range of critical functions: from site warehousing, cold storage, dispensing, and sampling to 3PL warehouse management and shipping operations.

We need someone with initiative, energy, and the drive to ensure every aspect of their materials handling runs like a well oiled machine.  You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams and external suppliers to guarantee timely availability of materials for manufacturing and packaging.  Your role will extend beyond the local level, making you a key player in the Global procurement, Tech Ops, Quality, Commercial Operations, and Regulatory Departments.

Your Responsibility

Develop, coach and manage your team of direct reports to create a high-performing, agile, and empowered team.

Your goal: To ensure the clients drug substances are manufactured safely, with agility, and in compliance with all regulations

  • Lead and oversee the Receiving/Shipping lead, Warehouse Ops Lead, and 3PL service providers
  • Develop process metrics aligned with their goals to measure effectiveness and track improvement initiatives
  • Drive operational excellence through lean manufacturing practices and Right First Time (six-sigma) principles.
  • Collaborate closely with multiple teams, including Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Global Procurement and Projects.
  • Champion safety, environmental compliance, and regulatory standards.
  • Mentor and train colleagues in operational excellence tools and high performance team behaviours.
