Operations Value Stream Manager

In this role, you will oversee the business performance of a specific Value Stream within the manufacturing domain. Collaborating with a cross-functional support team, including Engineering, Quality, Planning, Supply Chain, H&S, and NPD, you'll be responsible for capacity management, financial goal attainment, and the achievement of broader business objectives aligning with the Business Strategy. This position involves partnering with various departments such as Finance, HR, Quality, Engineering, and Planning to optimize the overall performance of the business unit. We are seeking an individual who excels as a team player and people manager.


1. Health and Safety: Align initiatives with plant objectives, reducing accidents. 2. Quality: Minimize complaints, enhance GMP compliance, and foster a culture of right-first-time. 3. Service: Ensure timely product delivery, understand customer needs, and create Exceptional Customer Experiences. 4. Continuous Improvement: Drive annual productivity improvements within budget.. 5. People Management: Select and develop staff, conduct frequent 1:1 meetings, and oversee performance. 6. KPI Management: Monitor performance using KPIs to improve output, efficiency, and cost goals. 7. Communication Leadership: Lead plant communications for the Business Unit. 8. S&OP and Budget Support: Assist in S&OP and budget processes, ensuring alignment. 9. NPD Support: Integrate new products into the business to meet expectations. 10. Change Management: Implement plans for line changes, recovery, and support other sites as needed. 11. Other Responsibilities: Undertake additional business responsibilities as needed.


  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in a business/manufacturing environment, with management responsibility for business performance.
  • Degree qualification in a related discipline.
  • Experience or qualification in a lean discipline, with expertise in process improvement and problem- solving, is advantageous.

Key Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate individuals and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organization, with strong interpersonal and negotiation abilities.
  • Proven decision-making ability and a willingness to accept responsibility.
  • Knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Project Management, or NPI is essential.
  • Ability to drive organizational change and support business decisions and initiatives.
