Job Title: Design Engineer (Automation and Robotics)
Location: Mullingar, Ireland

Key Responsibilities:

Utilize SolidWorks to design automation and robotic equipment, ensuring adherence to quality standards within specified timelines. Machine building.
Craft designs for machine frame guarding elements, sheet metal brackets, and tooled components.
Demonstrate proficiency in understanding electrical and pneumatic circuits.
Develop detailed part drawings and liaise with suppliers to obtain quotations as needed.
Generate comprehensive general assembly drawings and ensure the accuracy of bills of materials for all assigned projects.
Operate within established standard operating practices, consistently upholding procedural adherence.
Manage parts procurement and compile Build Packs, providing clear instructions to the build team.
Foster transparent communication with machine build technicians to facilitate precise and efficient machine assembly.
Proactively identify and address potential design or supply issues, offering timely information and recommendations to mitigate project impacts.
Maintain drawings and drafts, ensuring the development of accurate "as-built" drawings upon project completion.
Take ownership of unresolved issues lists, diligently resolving design challenges as they arise.

Educational, Experience, and Location Requirements:

Possess a degree in mechanical engineering or a related field. Accumulate a minimum of 2 years of experience in a design role, preferably within the automation and robotics sector.
Ability to maintain open communication with all project stakeholders, ensuring regular updates on work progress.
Legally authorized to work in Ireland.
Willingness to reside in proximity to Mullingar due to the office-based nature of the role.
Hold a valid driving license with the flexibility to travel as required.
