Job Title: Electrical Equipment Maintenance Technician - Day Shift

Qualifications:
  • Trades Qualified Electrical or equivalent certification with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Reporting to the Equipment Group, functioning as an integral part of the Equipment Sustaining Engineering Team.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct electrical and mechanical troubleshooting activities.
  • Repair electrical components, panels, and systems to maintain optimal operational conditions.
  • Perform electro-mechanical repairs on high-speed, PLC-controlled equipment, including pneumatic and hydraulic control systems.
  • Contribute to and execute Preventive & Predictive Maintenance Routines.
  • Foster effective communication within the team and maintain transparent, open dialogue to ensure comprehension of goals and objectives.
  • Manage relationships with external technology providers and suppliers.
  • Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements while researching solutions to existing process challenges.
Key Requirements:
  • Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, with a focus on innovative and cost-effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in automation with hands-on experience.
  • Familiarity with MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Project.
Background:
  • Trades Qualified Electrical or equivalent certification with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in identifying root causes of equipment faults/issues.
  • Ability to utilize technical documents and tools effectively to address equipment-related challenges.
  • Solid technical background with expertise in pneumatic systems, mechanical motion systems, and electrical drive systems.
  • Experience in programming IEC 61131 compliant PLC language.
  • Self-motivated with a capacity for independent decision-making and implementation.
