Production Supervisor – Night Shift

We are actively seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join our dynamic team in the Galway-based Medical industry. Operating during the night shift, this role is pivotal in overseeing production efficiency, scheduling, and achieving monthly targets. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, a background in manufacturing, and a commitment to driving continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Collaborate with support functions to ensure customer and business requirements are met.
  • Analyze and report on the production plan to maximize performance.
  • Support and drive continuous improvement projects aligned with TEOA (Total Economic Operating Advantage).
  • Manage staff, ensuring compliance with company policies and HR processes.
  • Lead, motivate, mentor, and support team leaders.
  • Address employee performance and HR issues as necessary.
  • Drive compliance in GDP & GMP within manufacturing lines and teams.
  • Ensure a safe working environment, being accountable for EH&S activities.
  • Implement improved practices and cost reduction strategies for enhanced production performance.
  • Lead training efforts for team members in line with revisions.
  • Maintain direct daily communication with the supply chain for material alignment.
  • Reconcile and sign off on monthly inventory cycle counts.
  • Manage SAP escalations, including password resets and material transactions.


Knowledge and Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a busy and challenging manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability as a people manager to lead and motivate individuals and teams.
  • Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing concepts.
  • Good understanding of quality system requirements within manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated ability for continuous improvement and problem-solving.
  • Full understanding of GDP, GMP, and compliance requirements within manufacturing for the medical industry.
  • Knowledge and understanding of materials systems.
  • Proficient in the use of SAP with an appreciation for supply chain functions.
