IT Support Technician


The LAN Support Technician I is responsible for providing desk-side support for internal workstations, to include helpdesk services, hardware/software troubleshooting, and application support.

Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Assist employees with hardware and software issues, including applications, peripherals, phone systems, and mobile devices.
  • Set up new user accounts, including PC and phone deployment, security access, and necessary IDs for system access.
  • Monitor and resolve issues through the electronic help desk ticketing system, escalating when needed.
  • Manage user accounts in Active Directory and set up email accounts.
  • Troubleshoot operating system and application issues, both locally and on the network.
  • Provide remote support for users connecting to the network via VPN.
  • Track and manage software licenses, including updates and purchase requests.
  • Maintain documentation of procedures, installations, and training materials.
  • Develop and maintain training plans for new employees, covering various software and systems.
  • Ensure desktops, laptops, peripherals, and equipment are up to date with software updates and maintenance.
  • Manage peripheral equipment and supplies, including printers, scanners, and consumables.
  • Oversee the availability and maintenance of company resources, such as laptops and projectors.
  • Prepare meeting rooms and IT resources for scheduled meetings.
  • Maintain and deploy employee workstation images.
  • Track software and hardware inventory.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of network and phone cabling.
  • Assemble desktop computer systems according to company needs.
  • Monitor server activity to ensure business-critical applications are operational.
  • Familiarize oneself with the company's business operations.
  • Adhere to work schedule and attendance policies.


  • 2 Years Relevant Experience
  • Windows Desktop Operating System (Windows 10).
  • Office Productivity Applications – M365, Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint.
  • Common Desktop Applications.
  • Computer Hardware and Related Peripherals.
  • Familiar with setting up computers and user accounts in Active Directory.
  • Familiar with network protocols and topologies.
  • A+ Certification a plus.
  • Exchange experience a plus.
  • SQL experience a plus.
  • Primary focus is on Help Desk and Desktop Support.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
