The Role

Superb Opportunity to join a dynamic team as Senior HR Business Partner with a multinational Medical Device company in Galway.  I am looking for a highly experienced and strategic-minded Senior HR Business Partner to Support execution of the HR mission to facilitate business growth through customer centric HR solutions to enable a culture of high engagement and high performance. Partner with regional HR leaders, Centres of Excellence (COE) and HR Operations teams to provide leadership to address and satisfy the strategic talent needs of the organization. Provide HR leadership and direction to organization to set talent priorities and drive value to enhance our employee experience and deliver business results 

Core Responsibilities 

  • Introduce, lead and influence change management initiatives with leaders to enhance overall performance and build the overall capability of the organization. 
  • Actively advise leaders on the career development of individuals and teams through, continuous performance tools and resources, career development framework, personal development planning, coaching, and mentoring strategies to effectively evaluate and enhance engagement and performance.
  • Support the annual compensation and management and objective setting process and provide support to leaders.
  • Analyse performance data to identify trends, strengths, and areas for improvement and provide meaningful reporting.
  • Provide critical workforce planning and development expertise ensuring the talent review and succession planning process meets the current and future workforce needs aligned to business strategy.
  • Coach and consult with leaders on organisation design and organization effectiveness, helping to deliver a high engagement and high performance culture.
  • Engaging with the TM COE to ensure enhanced leadership at every level through the development and delivery of high-quality leadership and management programmes.
  • Support the implementation of a new HR operating model to support growth and maintain a direct engagement model. 
  • Partner with HR COEs and HR Operations teams to address and apply knowledge of key business drivers in making decisions related to human resources.
  • Provide guidance and direction to organization to ensure consistent, equal, and fair treatment of all employees. Coach managers to ensure the consistent application of and adherence to company policies and procedures. 

Management Responsibilities 

  • Foster a diverse & inclusive workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives. 
  • Strong focus on self-development and knowledge sharing to ensure ongoing team development.
  • Support compliance with employment legislation, company policies and procedures and regulatory requirements. 
  • May direct and control the activities and budget of one or more functional areas or projects/programs. 
  • May lead employees at site level and ensure to coach, direct, and develop in the achievement of organizational goals. 


Qualifications & Experience 

  • Degree Level 8 or post graduate qualifications are desirable, in a relevant discipline – human resources management, organisation behaviour, organisation psychology, learning and development.
  • Minimum of 8-12 years’ experience with a min. of 4 years with a strong emphasis on talent management and organisation design.
  • Advanced change/stakeholder management skills required to implement/execute multiple high-priority, high-visibility projects on time and within budget.
  • Advanced proficiency in facilitation, programme delivery and presenting to internal groups with varying audience sizes and leadership levels.
  • Strong analytical skillsand ability to utilise data to identify people priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • People leader experience preferable.
