Overseeing extrusion lines to ensure compliance with plant Safety, Quality/GMP, Productivity, and Waste management objectives, policies, and procedures.

Managing daily operations in the extrusion department, optimizing extrusion jobs such as cleaning, setup, sizing, and running schedules, and supporting Extrusion Technicians in meeting daily targets.

Motivating extrusion area staff through effective communication, problem-solving, team building, and providing feedback.

Coordinating and assigning daily tasks with Technicians, Inspectors, Operators, etc.

Maintaining high housekeeping standards in the Extrusion Cleanroom and implementing 5S activities and standards.

Supporting Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing activities as needed.

Ensuring necessary training and upskilling activities are conducted, evaluated, and documented to enhance production operator versatility.

Adhering to, evaluating, and maintaining work practices and procedures using the PROQUIS document control system.

Continuously meeting and reviewing production efficiencies and targets, ideally through a documented visual display system.

Documenting and adhering to process controls as per work instructions and addressing any out-of-control conditions, including calibrations, immediately with assistance from engineering and/or management as required.

Supporting new product introductions and change controls, and coordinating with engineering and management for product trials and validation builds.

Ensuring accurate and complete Work Order packs and maintaining high standards of GDP.

Planning and optimizing resources according to order requirements. Coordinating with the Warehouse Operator on stock maintenance and control using IQMS, and liaising with customers as needed.

Participating in quality initiatives, troubleshooting, and internal audit/CAPA programs.

Complying with plant safety and health requirements, taking responsibility for aspects of the OH&S System under your control to ensure the health and safety of yourself and others.

Being aware of potential environmental impacts associated with your work and the consequences of non-conformance.

Enhancing energy performance by conserving energy where possible (lighting, equipment, air conditioning, etc.).

Contributing to the continual improvement of OH&S, Environmental, and Energy Management systems through participation, providing feedback/suggestions for improvement, and timely reporting of accidents, dangerous occurrences, near misses, illnesses, good catches, and environmental incidents.

Required Qualifications/Experience/Skills:

Ideally certification in engineering or science and/or 2-3 yrs experience at a supervisory level. 

Evidence of communication and strong supervisory skills.
