Job Title: R&D Engineer I/II

About the Role: Our client, a leader in the medical device sector, is seeking a passionate and skilled R&D Engineer. This role is perfect for a recent graduate looking to kickstart their career in a dynamic and innovative environment. The successful candidate will be integral to the design, development, and analysis of cutting-edge research projects and product development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Research & Development: Engage in the design and execution of studies aimed at investigating key life science questions within your area of expertise.
• Technical Troubleshooting: Provide technical expertise during research and product development, identifying and resolving issues as they arise.
• Product Translation: Work to translate research discoveries into viable, market-ready products.
• Project Management: Oversee assigned projects from conception to implementation, ensuring alignment with company policies and goals.
• Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate with internal teams, gathering, confirming, and conveying information to ensure project success.
• Mentorship: May act as a mentor to junior colleagues, providing guidance and support in project execution.

What We're Looking For:

• Educational Background: A University Degree in a relevant life science discipline is required.
• Experience: While no prior experience is necessary, a strong theoretical knowledge base is essential.
• Autonomy & Impact: Capable of working under close supervision on smaller, less complex projects with limited scope.
• Innovation & Problem-Solving: Ability to identify, define, and address issues that are not immediately apparent, making minor changes to systems and processes where necessary.
• Communication Skills: Proficient in conveying information within the immediate team and other internal stakeholders.
