CNC Maintenance Technician
Location : Cork

The CNC Maintenance Technician performs regular, periodic, or specialized inspections to assess and carry out necessary repairs and maintenance to avoid machinery and equipment breakdowns in machine operations.

Responsibilities:

• Repair CNC machinery, manual machines, general equipment, and machining centers within the organization. 
• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machine tool equipment and control systems.
• Diagnose issues with hydraulics, electronics, software, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Utilize machine tool manuals, technical documents, and resources from both internal and external vendors to investigate machine problems.
• Identify and replace malfunctioning parts as needed.
• Conduct tests and make adjustments to parts as necessary.
• Perform planned and preventive maintenance procedures.
• Work with a high sense of urgency during machine downtime situations.
• Accurately document all maintenance activities in the management system.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Trade Qualification
• At least two years of experience in repairing and maintaining CNC machinery or other maintenance/production equipment using a range of hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Experience with Lockout/Tagout procedures and Arc Flash Safety.
• Proficient with all basic hand tools and equipped with a complete toolbox.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and technical procedures.
• Ability to read part manuals, electrical and mechanical schematics, assembly instructions, and troubleshooting guides.
• Knowledge of CNC machine design and operation.
• Capable of writing routine reports and correspondence and effectively communicating with groups of customers or employees.
