Maintenance Planner Analyst
Job Title: Maintenance Planner
Summary:
The Maintenance Planner will collaborate closely with various teams, including the Maintenance Supervisor, Manufacturing Team Leaders, Managers, Facilities, Engineering, and Fitters, to effectively schedule and plan maintenance activities across all Ostomy Operations areas. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient resource allocation and high-level maintenance planning and scheduling.
Job Responsibilities
- Create detailed maintenance plans, specifying the necessary parts and labor for all scheduled maintenance tasks.
- Manage maintenance schedules, communicate plans, and monitor adherence to the schedule.
- Evaluate and improve maintenance processes to enhance system efficiency.
- Act as the site’s CMMS expert, offering training and support to the team as needed.
- Support the Hollister Production System by actively participating in team initiatives.
- Work alongside Maintenance, Production, and Engineering teams to coordinate maintenance efforts aimed at improving Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE).
- Collaborate with Area Team Leaders and Value Stream Managers to prioritize and complete work promptly.
- Partner with Engineering for technical and project-related support.
- Establish Standard Work procedures and develop QCO principles.
- Plan and oversee Preventative Maintenance activities.
- Address reliability issues by developing and implementing appropriate plans.
- Prepare relevant reports and track maintenance metrics using MI systems.
- Develop and manage yearly, quarterly, monthly, and weekly maintenance schedules in coordination with operations and supporting functions.
- Organize and execute shutdowns and maintenance programs.
- Contribute to initiatives that aim to enhance World-Class Maintenance processes.
- Apply operational excellence tools to drive continuous improvement and eliminate inefficiencies.
- Proven experience in planning and scheduling asset care, with the ability to establish and maintain a Maintenance system.
- Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and resolve conflicting demands.
- A problem-solving mindset with a track record in continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Project management experience.
- Competency in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) is a plus.
Qualifications
- An Engineering Qualification, or Fás/SOLAS Time-served, or at least 5 years of experience in a maintenance planning role.
- Leaving Certificate or an equivalent qualification recognized by the National Qualifications Authority of Ireland.
Key Requirements
- At least five years of experience in manufacturing and quality, preferably in a world-class environment.
- Experience in a unionized environment is an advantage.
- Strong familiarity with computerized maintenance systems and reporting capabilities.
- Experience in planning technical activities (Engineering/Maintenance and Preventative Maintenance) in a World-Class Manufacturing setting.
- Asset care experience in an industrial environment is a plus.
- Experience in the Medical Device, Pharma, Food, Chemical, or other life sciences industries.
- Proven experience in achieving maintenance improvements and cost reductions.
