Manufacturing Engineer
Overview:
The primary responsibility of this role is to optimize manufacturing processes by delivering technical and operational support that enhances performance. The position involves developing high-standard processes and leading complex projects within tight deadlines, utilizing systematic problem-solving and preventive strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement robust process controls to ensure consistent, repeatable manufacturing for commercial products.
- Enhance production efficiency by employing continuous improvement techniques.
- Apply a scientific and analytical approach to troubleshooting, combining data analysis and experimental methods to boost equipment performance.
- Ensure all engineering activities and designs meet relevant GMP, regulatory, and environmental health and safety standards.
- Manage projects following project management principles, focusing on task coordination and meeting deadlines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in process, manufacturing, and automation engineering to develop stable, capable processes.
- Provide technical assistance during new product or technology introductions, managing changes effectively.
- Address and resolve product or process non-conformance issues in line with established controls and procedures.
- Utilize statistical tools and Six Sigma methodologies to validate and enhance processes.
- Contribute to building in-house expertise across core technologies.
- Conduct risk assessments related to processes, equipment, health, and safety, ensuring product and user safety.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline with relevant experience.
- Experience in catheter manufacturing is advantageous.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing engineering or process development role, particularly in the medical device or healthcare industry.
- Proven success in implementing continuous improvement strategies.
- Comprehensive knowledge of production line performance metrics.
