About the Role
The Facilities Project Manager (PMO) is responsible for overseeing infrastructural change projects at our site, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Reporting to the Facilities Group, which supports the Site Director, this role plays a key part in maintaining the site’s operational efficiency, while contributing to long-term spatial strategy and energy management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilities & Infrastructure: Ensure site infrastructure is maintained to Maintenance Excellence standards, keeping operations running smoothly.
- Energy Management: Oversee utility sourcing and align the site with Medtronic’s corporate energy and emissions targets.
- Project Management Office (PMO): Lead and execute changes to layouts, infrastructure, and controlled environments, such as cleanrooms, in alignment with campus space strategy.
- Soft Services Management: Coordinate essential services including catering, cleaning, security, waste management, and events.
- Workplace Management: Collaborate with business teams to support employees’ needs, ensuring a productive and efficient workspace.
A Day in the Life of a Facilities PMO Project Manager:
- Lead the coordination and execution of infrastructural projects, ensuring all tasks are completed within time, budget, and scope.
- Manage cross-functional project teams, ensuring excellent communication, stakeholder management, and adherence to project governance.
- Drive problem-solving and process improvement efforts through clear plans and precise delivery methodologies.
- Collaborate with external design and construction teams, ensuring seamless project delivery.
- Support the development of long-term spatial and infrastructural strategies for the site, alongside senior leadership.
Required Skills & Experience:
- A minimum of a Level 8 degree in Project Management, Civil or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Over 5 years of relevant experience in project management within a similar role.
- Proven ability to lead and work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- A strong understanding of project management principles, ideally with PMP accreditation.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and presentation skills.
