Key Responsibilities

The Micro Technician will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of microbiological testing and analysis, including:

  • Environmental Monitoring of cleanrooms
  • Water Sampling and analysis
  • Bioburden Testing
  • In-Process Testing, including endotoxin and sterility testing
  • Growth Promotion and Antibiotic Assays
  • Sterility Testing for commercial, clinical, and development batches
  • Preparation of detailed Report Writing and trend analysis
  • Documentation Review of SOPs, protocols, training modules, and investigation reports
  • Lead investigations into adverse or out-of-limit results and implement corrective actions (CAPAs)
  • Validation of microbiology test methods and equipment
  • Ensure all testing meets regulatory and cGMP standards and is completed within agreed turnaround times

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • 3rd Level Qualification in Microbiology or an equivalent scientific degree
  • Minimum of 12 months’ experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably in aseptic processing
  • In-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, particularly sterile processing
  • Demonstrated proficiency in microbiological laboratory methods and techniques
  • Experience in performing routine and non-routine testing within a cGMP-regulated environment
  • Strong background in aseptic techniques and microbiology testing for sterile products
  • Ability to draft, review, and update technical documentation, including SOPs and investigation reports
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
