Role                 Commissioning Project Manager – HVAC Mechanical

Join our dynamic team as a Commissioning Project Manager.  As a Commissioning Project Manager, you will lead the commissioning processes for mission-critical facilities globally. Your responsibilities include managing technical challenges, coordinating with teams, and ensuring projects meet safety and completion standards. Ideal candidates will have strong leadership skills, extensive experience in MEP commissioning, and the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee end-to-end commissioning for assigned systems, ensuring completion through the tagging process.
• Act as the primary contact for all commissioning activities within the scope.
• Provide technical leadership to resolve challenges and maintain project progress.
• Plan and manage system breakdown, piping, and cabling completion.
• Develop commissioning packages and work packs while managing them through completion systems.
• Identify risks, propose mitigation strategies, and ensure alignment with safety standards (PTW, SSOW, LOTO).
• Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and construction teams to drive efficient testing and completion.
• Manage inspections, design reviews, documentation, and quality planning to minimize rework.
• Lead key project milestones, system turnover, and compliance with commissioning processes.
• Oversee technical documentation, issue tracking, testing preservation, and energization programs.

Technical Expertise:

• Proficiency in commissioning and completion of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems, including:
• Chillers, cooling towers, CRAC/CRAH, fuel transfer, heat pumps, boilers, and district heating.
• Pumping systems, humidification, sprinkler/LSS, and fire suppression.
• Air and liquid cooling systems, CDU, BMS/BAS, PLC, and sequence of operations.
• Load testing, point-to-point testing (4-20mA, 0-10V), QA/QC processes, and documentation management.
• Strong understanding of mechanical piping, HVAC, electrical distribution, and integration with commissioning systems.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering; Project Management Certification preferred.
• 8-10 years of experience in MEP commissioning, with expertise in mission-critical facilities.
• Strong technical knowledge in HVAC, pumps, boilers, and control systems.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to foster a collaborative environment.
• Deep knowledge of QA/QC, commissioning processes, and multi-discipline MEP systems.
• Project management certification or equivalent experience with 10+ years managing electrical/mechanical system completion

• Internal: Safety teams, global business units, construction teams, executive leadership.
• External: Customers, vendors, ensuring project alignment and successful outcomes.
