Accounts Assistant

My client, a manufacturing company based in Galway are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant for their site on a fixed term basis

Responsibilities

Job specification for the Assistant Accountant role.

Main duties to include:  

• Involved in the preparation of weekly plant metrics                                                                                                         
• Responsible for metrics, both weekly (Plant wide) and monthly (for Purchasing Manager / Supply Chain Manager)                                                                                           
• Maintain Integrity of Standard Costing System                                                                                   
• Preparation and Distribution of Various weekly reports 
• Involved in the month-end reporting cycle through spend reporting and analysis                                                                                
• Labour Efficiency Reporting
• Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register

• Desirable to have 1 years’ experience working Cost Accounting in a manufacturing environment but not essential
• Desirable to have experience working with an integrated manufacturing system Like (SAP, JDE)
• Excellent Microsoft excel skills.
• Strong communication skills and Interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with colleagues at all levels.
• Excellent attention to detail.

We are flexible with hours/hybrid working if required.  Fixed term 6-month contract
