Advance Manufacturing Engineer

Our client, a manufacturing company in Galway are currently looking to recruit an Advance Manufacturing Engineer for their site.

Job Summary:
The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer will execute the manufacturing strategy through new product development platform implementation, developing new manufacturing processes, and support continuous improvement in the areas of quality, safety, customer satisfaction, productivity, capacity, and facility planning. This role requires interaction and influence with plant and strategic business unit leadership at varied levels as well as an ability to effectively coach in a manufacturing environment.

? Actively search, discover, vet, and implement new manufacturing technologies and aggressively evaluate and report on all manufacturing opportunities that will contribute to IR objectives and goals. Process technologies include but not limited to assembly, welding, brazing/soldering, testing, copper tube fabrication, coating, and automation.
? Prepare, implement, and integrate complex and long range facility plans based on long range plans of the business
? Integrate with design programs in all phases to develop and execute manufacturing plans to ensure quality, process capability, and EHS capabilities are built into product and process designs
? Prepare plant layouts and determine footprint, manufacturing, and logistics systems related to the needs of the business
? Assist or lead capital projects including concept development, project approval, process specifications, project execution, process development and implementation, and operational sustainment
? Develop expertise within, deploy, and coach varied standard work elements within the IR Business Operating System

? BE Engineering degree
? 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience
? Excellence within project management
? Understanding of 3P processes
? Proven experience in new product development programs
? Expertise in compliance with safety and environmental standards
? Good verbal and written communication skills
? Ability to influence across varied organizational functions and levels
? Proven problem solving skills
? Ability to travel up to 50%
? Aptitude for mechanical/electrical application as related to equipment and process design
