Associate Facilities Manager

Our client, in Clare are currently looking to recruit an Associate Facilities Manager for their site.

Overall responsibility for Hard and Soft facility services for the Shannon site including plant, equipment, utilities, cafeteria, security, building services e.g. heating, ventilation and air-conditioning and management of sub-contractors on site. Procurement, Design and contract management

  • Managing and Maintaining Buildings services and grounds
  • Manage relationship with Building Landlord
  • Catering and vending Services
  • Cleaning Services
  • Manage all mechanical and electrical service and works
  • Health and safety
  • Utilities and communications infrastructure
  • Space management
  • Security Services
  • EHS Compliance
  • Arranging for all important inspections, approvals and licenses
  • Maintain safety and security; monitor access; maintain appearance and overall environment of the organization and wellness facilities.
  • Developing and administering the policies of the facility.
  • Preparing, maintaining and submitting the reports and records to the Client and IFM team
  • Take part in reviewing, interviewing, hiring, coaching, supervising, and assessing of new staff.
  • A stable financial position should be maintained for the operation of the facility.
  • Exercising sound fiscal management practices.
  • Attend staff conferences and trainings.
  • Management of staff on site
  • Meet and exceed Client relationship and expectations.
  • On call for the site when required.
  • Travel between sites when required.
  • Manage projects for the site when required.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Meet and exceed Client relationship and expectations.
  • High quality service levels for the site
  • Complete all PMs for the site
  • Complete all facility work orders for the site
  • Manage all site facility services
  • Assist in EHS EMEA program
  • Have a trade/Engineering qualification and background
  • Soft service experience
  • Previous experience of managing people preferable
  • I.T Skills - MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
  • Strong administration, organizational, documentation and analytical skills.
  • Excellent Problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work within a team.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work to tight timescales.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills & communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Work closely with Operations and Support Departments to meet the business objectives
  • 4 plus years management experience within the maintenance/engineering/utilities/facilities environment
