Automation Project Manager

The Automation Project Manager will be responsible for managing all active project activities for the department, from resource management, scheduling, costing, working with client stakeholders and other project related activities. Projects will vary in scope from automation, infrastructure, MES and other systems.

The successful candidate will be part of the Execution Systems team and will represent the department for active and planned projects. Experience in project management/control is essential.

He/she is expected to be self-motivated, an excellent communicator, very organised and develop an understanding of the business.

The Project Manager will report into the Site Lead and Client Department Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain project schedule to monitor and track project progress
• Coordinate and schedule internal resource activities for Project Execution
• Ensure that all project deliverables are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
• Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
• Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
• Build and maintain relationships with project stakeholders across multiple site departments
• Measure and Report project performance to client stakeholders
• Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
• Drive innovation to ensure a lean project management process
• Perform other related duties as assigned

The Ideal Candidate:

• Ability to manage team activities and organise/schedule project tasks
• Proven working experience in project execution
• Excellent internal and client facing communication skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good knowledge of automation systems and IT infrastructure
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Understanding of S88
• Understand of V-model lifecycle

Qualifications:

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
• Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience

Technical Skills:

• Automation Process Engineering
• Plc Programming
• SCADA
• GMP Executions systems
• Delta V
