Who is the client

Our client, an insurance company in Galway are currently looking to recruit a Claims Handler for their site to investigate claims and negotiate fair settlements

What will I be doing
  • Achieve full APA accreditation
  • Handle customer enquiries and meet customer service excellence specifically in the area of travel claims
  • Handling of Insure & Go Customer Service calls
  • Handling of Roadside assistance/call centre calls
  • Logging of post on system
  • Registration of new claims
  • Assess and decision of claims including payments/declines
  • Giving advice on policy coverage
  • Handling of all complaint calls
  • Taking ownership of files from receipt to completion
  • Completing all administrative and filing duties
  • Registration of new medical screenings
  • Capturing of all relevant claims information
  • Advise customer of level of cover given on policy
  • Do the necessary work to carry out more complex cases to be decided upon and actioned quickly and on the basis of the relevant facts.
  • Ensure that all claims payments are valid and meet laid down criteria that proper audit procedures are followed and that all cheques are properly safeguarded.
  • Liaison with various internal departments.
  • To provide back-up and support to other Operations functions as required

What do I need:
  • Previous experience working in an insurance claims
  • Full APA accreditation and Full CIP accreditation is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated track record in handling the challenges of customer service positively and enthusiastically
  • Excellent written communication skills is a must
  • Ability to listen attentively and gather all relevant facts from the customer
  • Efficient with MS Office
