Data Architect

Our leading technology client based in Limerick are looking for a new Data Architect due to company growth.  This role can be worked remotely with bi-monthly site visits

Position Summary

Reporting to our Development Manager the Data Architect will be an experienced architect with a background in multiple data and database technologies

The successful candidate will be an architect with a holistic view of our data and will have the ability to manage it in order to maximise its value for our clients

Primary Responsibilities

• Helps with understanding and defining data placement, data replication, data access for our application
• Plan and recommend future directions and use of databases
• Contribute to the performance planning and tuning of data access
• Ensures security of all information and computer systems and digital data
• Ensures adherence to all regulations and guidelines for technological systems and safeguarding of data

Relevant technologies

• RDBMS experience in MS SQL server and/or AWS Aurora.
• Document Database experience in NOSQL Elasticsearch environment
• In memory databases such as REDIS
• Graph Databases such as AWS Neptune
• Data Warehouses and Data Lakes

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or Information Systems
• Previous experience as a software developer or DBA or data architect or in a data management role
• Understanding of data analysis and design
• Software architecture and design
• Experience with software network design and implementation
• Certified Data Architect
• Problem solving ability
