Field Service Engineer

Our client, who make Inspection Systems, Track & Trace and Smart Data Management solutions is currently looking to recruit a Field Service Engineer

The mission of field service engineers is to carry out the delivery and maintenance of solutions both in-house and in the customers’ premises, according to schedules and ways that comply with company recommendations and processes.
The Field Service Engineer can work on one or more of the main product ranges.

  • To advance the delivery activities of the vision/ track and trace solutions both in house and at the customers’ premises.
  • To advance the maintenance activity at the customers’ premises.
  • To use the Service Now platform for reporting activity.
  • To acquire the AVTE/AVFE training certification
  • To validate solutions in-house (F.A.T.) and at the customers’ premises (S.A.T.) according to the validation protocols written by the QA Department
  • To install solutions at the customers’ premises and configuration according to formats requested by the customer.
  • To train operators for the correct use of the solutions
  • To troubleshoot in case of problems
  • To relate the project status with periodical internal reports for the alignment of the different departments;
  • To open cases/incidents, if necessary, on the Service Now platform
  • To manage the relationships with customers
  • To collect any customers’ requests and report them to the person in charge.
  • To report product feedback and improvement proposals
  • To manage of preventive maintenance according to customers’ requests
  • To manage of extraordinary maintenance: search and fixing of malfunctions.
  • To report the project status with periodical in-house meetings for the alignment of different Departments.
  • To open, if necessary, cases/incidents on the Service Now platform
  • To collect requests, if any, from customers, and to report them to the person in charge.
  • To report product feedback and improvement proposals
  • To report on the business trip and related expenses on the Service Now platform;
  • To manage the service reports;

Skills/Requirements Knowledge of Global Regulations for Traceability
  • Knowledge of Artificial Vision
  • Understanding of the Pharma and Industrial manufacturing sector
  • Understanding of the packaging processes
  • Knowledge of Quality System ISO-9001
  • Experience with SQL and PLC
  • Experience on the installation and configuration of Vision Products
  • Must have a technical diploma in Electronic or IT with a preference for a degree in Electronic/Computer Science or Automation
