Title: Financial Analyst
Our client, a leading multinational company in Medical Device sector is currently looking to recruit a Financial Analyst with their supply chain team for their site in Galway.
? Prepare monthly reports and analysis of all Inventory related transactions and balances and work with Supply Chain teams to drive improvements on various Inventory related metrics;
? Prepare reports & analysis of monthly Purchase Price Variances.
? Setting of annual standard costs & transfer prices & monthly updates to these
? Be an effective team player who will drive efficiency and continuous improvement throughout the department;
? Prepare monthly analysis and reporting of Inventory balances, Inventory reserves and Inventory related scrap costs for a range of Inventory locations;
? Work with cross functional Supply Chain team to improve various Inventory related metrics;
? Coordinate with external auditors and internal teams on managing annual stock takes and follow up reconciliations to year- end financial accounts;
? Preparation of monthly Purchase Price Variance analysis;
? Preparation, analysis and posting of journals at month end;
? Manage the process of setting annual standard costs and transfer prices as well as monthly management of changes including new product introductions;
? Provide ad hoc financial information to management and other departments as required;
? Collaboration with external audit team for interim and year end audits;
? Ensure compliance with local finance policies and procedures
? Occasional travel may be required
? Strong analytical and procedure mapping skills, excellent attention to detail and good business judgment.
? Innovative, with a strong ability to identify pain points and potential solutions.
? Effective communicator, both articulate & verbally presentable.
? Self-starter, possesses flexibility and ability to work under pressure in a fast-changing environment and ambiguous situations.

Education & Experience
? Accounting Qualification ? ACA, ACCA, CIMA ? is desirable
? Third Level Degree or equivalent
? 0 - 5 years relevant experience ? preferably with Shared Service Centre and multinational corporation background. ? Experience in finance for Inventory Management and reporting is essential
? SAP/Oracle/Hyperion or other major ERP Systems experience is desirable.
? Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
? Able to work alone to understand and summarise financial data into high quality, accurate and usable summaries.
? Ability to work with cross functional teams and drive projects across functions is essential.
? Strong computer skills especially MS Excel.
