Overview: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Firmware Test Engineer to join our medical technology team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in firmware testing and experience working on medical devices.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain firmware test systems for medical devices
• Work closely with firmware, hardware, and software engineers to ensure product quality and compliance
• Write and execute test plans and cases for firmware
• Identify and troubleshoot firmware defects
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve testing processes and procedures
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards (e.g. ISO 13485, IEC 62304)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related /adjacent field
• At least 5 years of experience in firmware testing, with a focus on medical devices
• Strong understanding of firmware development processes and tools (e.g. version control, debugging)
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks
• Familiarity with medical device regulations and standards (e.g. FDA, CE)
• Knowledge of software development for medical devices (e.g. electronic health records, medical imaging)
• Experience with agile development methodologies
