Inventory Account

Our client in Galway are currently looking to recruit an Inventory Accountant for their site on a maternity leave contract.

  • Managing the inventory module from an accounts perspective
  • Interacting with Supply Chain and the Finance team on any inventory matters
  • Stock accruals reconciliation completion and review on a monthly basis
  • Working with Supply Chain on any variances / adjustments / write offs / obsolete stock issues on a timely basis
  • Setting up new ideas in Great Plains
  • Overall management of working day 10 to ensure that all team members have completed their items correctly to ensure that global consolidation can commence on day 11
  • Managing stock supplier invoices and ensure full details are received before payments are made
  • Management of Intrastat or other reporting requirements
  • Comply with effective mechanism for proper checking and approval of supplier and vendor invoices.
  • Assist with the external audit process which will normally commence in February
  • Management of salary and other sensitive payments globally with the Group Financial Controller
  • Collating RX rates to be approved for the month with the Finance Director.
  • Comply with regulations and accounting standards
  • Work with the rest of the Finance team to assist in meeting group deadlines
  • General office administration with the team
  • Management of direct reports
  • Other tasks as required by the Financial Controller

Skills Required
  • Strong IT skills including all Microsoft Office applications
  • MS Great Plains is a distinct advantage
  • Salesforce experience is a distinct advantage
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative and independently
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to prioritise work
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work with people at all levels within the organisation, both based in Galway and overseas

Educational Qualifications and Experience
  • Qualified Accountant with detailed experience in inventory / supply chain modules in industry
  • Experience working in a busy office environment
  • Experience working in multi-currency / multi country is an advantage
