Lead Business Systems Analyst

My Fintech client in Galway is seeking a Lead Business Systems Analyst on Big Data to join their team

Description

Provide leadership in an AGILE & Dev Ops Methodology environment promoting teamwork and innovation. Design, develop, and implement solutions leveraging data assets and follow the full systems development lifecycle (SDLC). Complete development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities; driving team meetings; troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms. Work collaboratively with cross functional teams and delivers best in class customer interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the expert in the functional understanding of the business requirements and solutions
• Translate business requirements into effective, structured, traceable and consumable functional requirements
• Data catalog assets validation and lineage with business process
• Manipulate, analyse and interpret complex data sets relating to the business domain
• Set up and maintain automated data processes
• Set up Data Mapping, Data profiling, maintain Data Test Strategy Documentation
• Execute preload and post load data validations
• Work with Development Organization to ensure that solution design is coded & tested
• Work with the business to identify efficiencies in their processes, designing solutions to maximize the benefits of those solutions
• Contribute to user guides, reference manuals, training materials and code release artifacts as appropriate
• Performs other duties as assigned or required

 Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

• Degree in Computer Science (Level 8), Information Systems, Software Engineering or related
• 7+ year of related experience
• 3+ years’ experience with Relational DBs(SQL Server, Oracle etc), Managed File Transfer, ETL
• Strong data analytical skills
• 1+ years’ experience with BigData platform (HDP, Cloudera)
• 1+ years’ experience with Qlik
• Experience with Informatica EDC an added advantage
• Understanding of requirements elicitation techniques with working experience being an advantage
• Knowledge of Agile and Dev Ops Methodology with working experience
