Management Accountant
Our client, a manufacturing company in Galway are currently looking to recruit a Management Accountant for their site.

You will be a key member of the plant operations finance team, primarily responsible for the collation, analysis and reporting of monthly results to HQ and to plant management. The role covers responsibility for co-ordination and submission of annual operating plans (AOP), rolling quarterly forecasting and risk/opportunity reporting versus plan.

What Will I Be Doing
  • Preparation and reporting of actual plant results versus forecast to tight pre-defined deadlines. Including commentary
  • Responsible for annual operating plan and quarterly forecast updates. Collation, through liaising with other departments, co-ordination and submission to HQ
  • Monthly risk/opportunity reporting against plan. Involves reaching out across all plant functions and to other entities in the group
  • Weekly pulse reporting against latest forecast. Changes to shipping volumes v previous week, changes to cost OI target. Minimize surprises at month-end
  • Finance leader for all warranty related issues. Monthly accrual calculation, reconciliation, warranty dashboard reporting. Pro-active driver on warranty campaign reporting and risks around same
  • Ability to pro-actively engage across all function within and outside the plant on routine and non-routine issues
  • SG&A cost centre reporting. Includes liaising with cost centre managers to understand variances from plan
  • Allocation charges from corporate/agile. Responsible for validation of allocation charges to Galway plant, acceptance or pushback
  • Other ad-hoc tasks

What Do I Need
  • Accounting qualification
  • 5 years' + experience in manufacturing industry
  • Knowledge of Oracle would be an advantage
  • Strong Business and Customer Focus
  • Ability to take a leadership role in identifying opportunities for change
  • Maintains a high level of teamwork within own team and with other members of Finance and Shared Services teams
