Our client, a medical device company in Cork are currently looking to recruit a Manufacturing Engineer for their site.
Description
• Support Production in a number of ways;
o Achieve weekly targets on designated manufacturing lines
o Ensure equipment is performing to specification
o Identify & drive process improvement initiatives
o Develop the technical expertise of Line technicians
• Provide customer support through direct involvement on Customer Focus Teams
• Support Continuous Improvement initiatives to improve process capability and reduce cost
• Ensure the smooth introduction of new products in a high volume production environment
• Ability to apply and implement concepts of Lean Manufacturing
Responsibilities:
• Monitor machine performance in real time to maximise production output
• Specify, install and support production equipment
• PVT’s & Engineering Builds.
• ECO Implementation for designated products/lines.
• Support ongoing PM activities & techniques to minimise m/c downtime
• Support Line reconfiguration and machine moves
• On a daily basis, support the Process Engineering requirements of designated CFT’s
• As member of CFT’s play a key role in resolving critical process issues
• Provide detailed Technical reports on process issues
• Provide DFM input on New Product Developments
• Carry out Process Capability analyses & identify appropriate corrective actions
• Ensure New Product builds are successful in Production
• All unique process tooling/fixtures/programs in place for new product builds
• Identify and resolve issues preventing the quoted standard being achieved in Production
Essential Specifications
• Degree/Diploma in Engineering (Electronic/Mechanical/Industrial)
• 3-5 years’ experience in a similar process-engineering role in hi-volume
• electronic manufacturing industry - strong on SMT/wave processing
• Excellent equipment knowledge and process debug troubleshoot skills
• Good communication and influencing skills
Desirable:
• Fuji P&P equipment experience
• 6-sigma green belt
• Lean practice implementation
