My client a leading pharmaceutical company in Mayo is now recruiting a Pharmaceutical Technology Scientist to support the tech transfer of a New Product Introduction (NPI) to accommodate clinical manufacture of a small and large molecule products. This a contract role until the end of the year. 

The suitable candidate will be responsible for leading various NPI projects to ensure all manufacturing controls are in place and will work alongside the Pharmaceutical Specialists to implement all necessary requirements as tasked by the Sr Mgr., Biologics Development / Assoc Dir, Pharmaceutical Technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As Pharmaceutical Technology Scientist, you will assist in all aspects of batch manufacturing activities, in accordance with SOPs and batch record instruction for multiple products
  • You will maintain and complete quality records in QMS
  • We believe in collaboration so in this role you will be involved in Internal communication across various departments and working with external partners in R&D, GPT, QA and Regulatory Affairs
  • In this role, you will perform sterile filtration and filter integrity testing, with an understanding of the requirements of cross contamination controls in multi-product facility
  • As part of this diverse and inclusive team you will support delivering on a key corporate project which are aligned with the business strategy
  • You will support installation of new equipment as required, and update, generate SOPs/ Risk Assessments and manufacturing documentation
  • Fostering an environment of continuous improvement, you will have a proven ability to problem solve

Education and Experience

  • Level 7/bachelor’s degree required in relevant discipline (MSc. Qualification preferable)
  • Essential Skills, Experience, and Competencies (includes Licenses, Credentials)
  • 3-5 years’ experience preferred
  • Must be a self-starter with a pro-active approach
  • Experience with interacting in project teams.
  • Flexibility of working hours may be required, and shift work may be required upon request
  • Understanding of GMP and experience with GMP regulatory inspections
  • Good technical writing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
