Process Engineering Technician Canada

Our client, a leading medical device company, are currently seeking a Process Technician to join their Engineering team. The Process Engineering Technician will use their manufacturing skills and techniques to support the engineering activities for the design, development of new and revised manufacturing processes.
  • Assists in the investigation, development and testing of new or revised manufacturing procedures and techniques
  • Assists in performing process design validation testing
  • Supports tool development and selection through drafting and testing tools
  • Conducts training of operators on new manufacturing techniques
  • Work with process engineers and production staff to support the assembly of parts on an assembly line
  • Comply with the Health & Safety policies of the company and inform Management of unsafe working condition
  • Adhere to all requirements of the Quality Management System
  • Demonstrate company values, works with integrity and a supportive corporate member
  • Other duties as required
What you bring to the team
  • Post-secondary degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 2-5 years related process manufacturing experience, preferably in the fields of medical device or micro-electronics
  • Experience with a number of measuring and inspection devices (e.g. ruler, callipers, microscope)
  • Good hand-eye coordination and ability to handle and manufacture small and delicate parts
  • Basic tool room knowledge
  • Preferable experience in process design, medical device industry, Lean manufacturing techniques and/or ISO quality management systems
  • Competency and understanding of the English language (oral, verbal and written)
  • Experience in MS Office; Excel, Visio, Word, PowerPoint, Solid Works
  • Effective communication skills (both written and oral)
