My client who is a leading pharmaceutical company in Galway is looking for a product launch manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

The Opportunity:

This is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic team within the Product Launch function. They are looking for individuals who will support and drive the companies vision to be the most valued global provider of high quality, competitively priced pharmaceutical products and to provide excellent services and support to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective leadership and management to the team and ensure that relevant Group financial, operational, customer and strategic targets are met.
  • Manage and develop the Product Launch, Artwork & BOM teams to ensure that all new product / customer launches are successfully executed in a controlled manner within agreed timelines.
  • Continuously evaluate, develop, and measure all processes, systems, and procedures in the departments to support achievement of the goals the business plan.
  • Drive and deliver process improvement activities, develop reports, tools, and metrics to assist the teams to identify and deliver process improvements.
  • Prepare, report on, and operate to monthly and annual budgets.
  • Drive improvements in our delivery performance by promoting working as one team.
  • Ensure full alignment with Regulatory Affairs, Business Development, Manufacturing, Planning, Quality, and all other relevant departments to ensure we meet or exceed customers’ expectations in terms of product launch, delivery, and service.
  • Provide updates to Senior Management Team as required.
  • Ensure that all direct reports are trained and supported to ensure that optimum operational performance is achieved across all direct report departments.
  • Provide development planning, performance management, ongoing communication, coaching and mentoring to all direct reports and ensure they provide same to all employees within each of their teams.
  • Lead, coach and engage with the cross functional teams to drive ongoing improvement in all areas of the business to achieve greater efficiencies.
  • Ensure that all work is carried out is in compliance with the required standards i.e., GMP, Health and Safety, Environmental and Regulatory requirements.
  • Attend internal & external meetings as required.
  • Ensure the team is updating the Quality Management system (Q-Pulse) daily to set up, monitor and close out LCFs, Deviations and CCFs.
  • Escalation of issues in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • 3rd level qualification
  • Proficiency in Microsoft packages to include (MS Word, Excel, Outlook) essential.
  • Systems experience desirable.
  • Experience of Project Co-Ordination, within a pharmaceutical cGLP Environment; with knowledge of EU GMP and US FDA Guidelines (preferable but not essential)
