Production Lead - Galway - 107453
Production Line Lead – Evening Shift
Job Summary:
This role is responsible for ensuring the production cells are actively engaged to meet the daily customer demand and production schedule. The Production Line Lead provides effective training to the production / assembly cells and ensures safety and quality standards are always maintained. They also provide cover for the Production Supervisor.
• Work with Production Supervisor and other team leads to manage and prioritize staffing assignments to ensure customer demand and the production schedules are met.
• Execute and coordinate employee training to ensure that procedures are followed and meet all quality requirements.
• Use basic problem-solving skills to ensure stable operation of the work cell.
• Report problems or concerns with quality, processes, equipment, materials and labour to the Production Supervisor.
• Work closely with support staff such as Technicians, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Supervisor, Materials /
Warehouse to resolve issues.
• Observe, maintain, coordinate and complete standard work.
• Complete lot acceptance activities for assigned cell.
• Update production metrics and facilitate regular communication.
• Identify and support continuous improvement efforts with Production Supervisor.
• Participate as an active member of the production team and produce / assemble products as required.
• Follow documented policies and procedures as designated by the company’s Quality System.
• Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes and procedures.
• Complete required documentation relating to business or regulatory requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions and to ensure zero lost time
• Identify training needs by evaluating strengths and weaknesses.
• Train all employees to updates on SOP’s and MI’s
• Ensure all employees training files are up to date with the most current revision of procedures
• Participate in operator appraisal process.
• Complete special projects and assignments as requested.
• HETAC Level 6 or Level 7 in a relevant discipline
• Minimum of two years of supervisory/management experience is desired, preferably in a medical manufacturing
• Ability to read and understand complex manufacturing and production information, including production drawings,
work orders, and related manufacturing and quality specifications.
• Proficient in MS office applications. (Word, Excel, Power Point & Outlook)
Specific Requirements:
• Experience leading teams or projects strongly desired.
• Medical device manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Ability to work well with others and pay attention to detail.
• Sound decision making and organizational skills.
• Self-starter with good motivational and inter-personal skills.
• Strong communication skills required.
• Ability to work effectively within a cross functional team.
• Flexible and willing to work within changing priorities and promote change.
• Ability to effectively manage a simultaneous range of diverse activities
