Project Lead – Contract

Our client, a pharmaceutical company in Cork are currently looking to recruit a Project Lead for their site on a contract basis.
  • This role involves specific responsibility for the Front End Portfolio Optimization Process (POP), including:
  • Leading development, deployment, and integration of a structured framework to:
  • Set and track targets and metrics for the Innovation Pipeline
  • Generate and sustain the innovation pipeline, from ideas through to approved charters ready for project execution…
  • Assuring pipeline quality
  • Driving pipeline growth to meet targets and offer opportunity for optimization
  • Optimize the feasibility portfolio, aligning with…
  • Virtual Teams (VTs) to accelerate Technology Strategies
  • The Implementation Portfolio to best meet business needs and maximize Quality, Service, Growth, & Value outcomes
  • Support the management and development of the Supply Chain Innovation Pipeline and Feasibility Portfolio
  • Partner closely with key End-2-End and functional supply chain leaders to ensure execution to key strategic programs and projects
  • Drive the development, education & training of portfolio prioritization activities
  • Deploy data visualization solutions to drive greater portfolio transparency and execution to strategic priorities. Use project/portfolio data to ensure optimal deployment of capital and resource management
  • Instantis adoption and maintenance for managing idea and charter data, providing a management tracking and reporting system, enabling data mining and report generation.
  • Execute monthly reporting and consolidation of idea and charter performance with a focus on developing the pipeline of approved charters
  • Global responsibility for attainment of pipeline targets across the Manufacturing organization.

General Duties And Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and a clear identifiable work ethos.
  • Work efficiently and effectively with colleagues across the Manufacturing Organisation, in a matrixed and multi site environment.

Specific Duties And Responsibilities:
  • Global IM Workstream Leader and Core Team member for IM key strategic projects.
  • Global owner of Pipeline Performance metrics, including quality, CIP, expense, capital, and resourcing.
  • Global owner of Feasibility Portfolio metrics, including quality, CIP, expense, capital, and resourcing.
  • Global deployment of Front End POP: training, process, and tools.
  • Assure consistent global adoption of Instantis for management of idea and charter data..
  • Identification of opportunities to enhance end-to-end POP, fully leveraging people, processes, and systems available across the supply chain.
  • Adoption of Technology Road Mapping in support of strategic planning initiatives.
  • Support training and advocacy to drive process and systems adoption at global level to ensure appropriate Data Accuracy and transparency. e.g. Instantis, Ci2 dashboard, Innovate etc.

Education And Experience Requirements:
  • Degree level educated (accredited institution) in one of these fields or similar: Engineering, Science, Production / Supply Chain Management, Lean Operations. Other degree level qualifications considered with relevant experience.
  • Project Management qualification/certification – e.g. Diploma, Masters, PMP, Prince, etc..
  • Previous experience in regulated industry preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven track record in leading significant change initiatives that have delivered breakthrough results for an organization.
  • Minimum of 5 years overall business experience required, with minimum 2 years experience in a senior project management, portfolio management or change management role.
  • Strong cross-functional business acumen and proven track record in the delivery of cross functional projects.

  • Works and communicates well with others in a team environment.
  • Comfortable working across multiple geographically dispersed locations.
  • Participates in and understands all compliance related activities pertaining to the role.
  • Follows all local laws and policies and maintains the highest levels of professionalism, ethics and compliance at all times.
  • Follows appropriate safety practices in order to prevent accidents to self or others.
  • Demonstrates history of positive interpersonal skills showing courtesy, tact, and understanding in interactions with co-workers, even under stressful circumstances.
