Process Engineer Essential

Functions:

• Provides technical support and training for affected personnel. Ensures that all existing equipment and processes in finishing or spray areas are fully documented via SOP / SW.
• Provides equipment troubleshooting support for any finish and spray operations and ensures equipment is running optimally and within the manufacturers specifications Writes standard work and / or SOPs for new processes.
• Coordination of projects in Finish Building to include but not limited to product development (glaze, new stains, etc.) Puts into practice Lean tools promoted by the company including improvements of existing Maintains safe and healthy work environment by ensuring that policies and safety procedures are followed.
• Performs other work related duties as assigned. Develop, configure and optimize industrial processes from inception through to start up and certification Assess processes, take measurements and interpret data Design, run, test and upgrade systems and processes
• Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output
• Perform process simulation
• Manage cost and time constraints
• Perform risk assessments
• Provide process documentation and operating instructions Knowledge,
• Skill and Experience: 1-2 years of experience in fast paced manufacturing environment, process engineering
• Mechanically inclined with troubleshooting aptitude
• Knowledge of manufacturing methods, process & quality standards Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge and/or experience in team work.
• Knowledge of general safety and hygiene practices.
• Excellent technical skills Knowledge of process related standards Experience in process simulations CAD or Auto-Cad skills Analytical thinker with interpersonal skills BS degree
