R&D Analyst

Our client, a pharmaceutical company in Galway are currently looking to recruit an R&D Analyst for their site.

A key role within the R&D department, with duties to include testing of in-process samples, process validation samples and finished goods in shelf-life assessment trials.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Testing of in-process parameters for bulk product manufacture.
? Process Validation of veterinary products for the R&D Department.
? Testing stability study samples according to agreed protocols.
? Conducting Binary Studies for veterinary products.
? Characterizing API from API suppliers.
? Characterizing and evaluating brand leader samples.
? Testing development stability formulations to ensure we have a robust formulation.
? To perform miscellaneous analyses according to the development pharmaceutics requirements of individual dosage forms.
? Control and maintain all documentation pertaining to testing activities.
? Technical support for the rest of the company
? Analytical support for the formulation department.
? Represent company in times of audits (either from clients or regulatory authorities).
? Conduct cleaning validation for R&D products of required.
? Maintain the R&D laboratory to GMP standards.
? Troubleshooting and researching ways to improve the efficiency of the analytical laboratory?s on an on-going basis.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Health & Safety requirements (e.g. Manual Handling Training)
? Working on PC
? Manual Handling training required
? Appropriate PPE to be worn

PERSON SPECIFICATION:
? B.SC. DEGREE AS A MINIMUM REQUIREMENT.
? AT LEAST 2+ YEARS R&D EXPERIENCE
? Self-starter with demonstrated efficient work methods, analytical & problem solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
? Strong HPLC experience.
? Communicates effectively and follows detailed written and verbal instructions.
? Manage time effectively to complete assignments in expected time frame.
? Positive attitude and ability to work well with others.
