Role Description: Senior Packaging Engineer

The Senior Packaging Engineer will focus on developing cutting-edge medical device packaging in the Vascular & Implant Therapies Space. Strong expertise in technology transfers, continuous improvement initiatives, and innovative packaging development for medical procedures. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, ensure compliance with quality system requirements, and drive best practices for packaging and labeling.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop packaging components and assemblies for medical devices.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on cross-functional, cross-divisional project teams, focusing on design, technology, and process.
• Create technical documentation, including design specifications, input requirements, validations, and technical reports, in compliance with quality system requirements.
• Support issue investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Packaging and Labeling peers across the organization to identify and implement best practices.
• Ensure robust package validation and qualification, adhering to FDA and ISO requirements.
• Utilize project management skills to gain alignment, lead cross-functional teams, and drive continuous improvement projects.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and training to other members of the packaging engineering team.

Qualifications & Education

• Qualified person to Degree level L8 in Engineering/Science or a related discipline, Masters desirably, with five (5) years relevant experience.
• We are looking for individuals with experience in biomedical materials, processing knowledge and medical packaging design procedures. We are looking for individuals with a proven track record in innovative package design, product development and manufacturing.
