Software Engineering Team Lead

My medical device client based in Limerick are looking for a Software Lead to join their team on a hybrid basis.

We are recruiting for Software Engineering Team Lead on a high performing scrum team working on our product engineering in the Biosciences business unit.

Main responsibilities will include:

• You will be expected to design, implement, and integrate components across services and devices. You will have to collaborate and communicate effectively with internationally distributed Agile teams. You will be expected to contribute to full-stack development, be experienced in the full software development lifecycle, and adhere to a quality management system.
• Additionally, the role will involve the people management of a number of software engineers, mentoring, recruitment and performance management.

About you

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience working in a Software Environment. Experience in leading process improvements, software architecture and design, and capable of demonstrating knowledge of current best practice in software engineering methodologies.
• 3+ years of experience in direct people management.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, Agile methods and working in a distributed, cross functional development team.
• Advanced knowledge of C#/.NET
• Multithreaded / Asynchronous C# development
• Service Architecture
• NET WebApi
• Angular (or equivalent frontend framework, e.g., React)
• Front-end, single-page web applications
• SQL Server
• Knowledge of Design Patterns
• Good Clean Code principles (e.g. SOLID)
• Automated unit testing (MS Test, xUnit, nUnit, Moq)
