Stores Manager

Our client, a progressive environmental waste company in the Galway region is seeking a Stores Manager for an immediate start.

  • Set up inventory stores systems
  • Responsible for preparing and processing all company purchase orders
  • Negotiate vendor pricing and discounting
  • Operate inventory, management/control system
  • Create monthly inventory management reports
  • Review purchasing/sourcing processes
  • Work closely with all departments to ensure product/parts availability
  • Manage vendor returns, customer stocking agreements
  • Coordinate physical inventory and cycle counts
  • Develop and maintain a professional business rapport with vendors

  • A minimum 3 years Purchasing/Inventory control experience preferably in the Road Transport Industry
  • Member of the Supply Chain Institute, desirable but not essential
  • Qualification in Business/Supply Chain
  • Advanced Skills with Microsoft Office
  • Strong Verbal and written Communication Skills
  • Excellent organizing and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and can engage, motivate and work with people
