JOB DETAIL

The Sustaining Engineering Project Lead will lead and contribute to product and process change projects for existing products and processes within the Company divisions. The projects would be primarily relating to Supply Security (stay in business), costs savings and process improvement projects.  The Project Lead will possess skills in project management, technical & business process development, communication and the ability to build and develop relationships. The Project Lead will represent Sustaining Engineering function and support the development of the Company Change Control process and other business processes.

Responsibilies

• Live the Company Immutable principles
• Leads medium/large change projects, including design change projects, to sustain and improve Operations
• Project management roles coordinating the activities of global functions such as clinical, regulatory, and stability.
• Use systematic techniques to create, support, and manage the development of project goals, schedules, and tasks.
• Monitor project progress to anticipate risks and develop solutions before they become critical
• Actively participate on cross-functional team and supports the completion of team deliverables
• Communicate effectively and review project milestones with key stakeholders as applicable
• Supports management in establishing goals and strategies
• Support Local Change Control Board meetings and the Change Control process as required

Essential Functions of the Role

• Time management over multiple time zones
• Effective communication skills; negotiating, conference calls, video calls, talking, listening
• Frequent travel

Experience Requirements

• 2-5 years’ experience in a similar position, preferably in the medical devices sector
• Formal Production/Engineering Qualifications (Bachelor’s Degree) or similar proven related work experience/degree
• PMP Certification or similar is desirable

Specialized Skills/Technical Knowledge:

• Proven track record in project management and project leadership; capable of working independently
• Ability to delegate effectively and adjust schedules and targets on the project as needed
• Uses problem solving techniques such as DMAIC to resolve issues as they arise
• Demonstrates working knowledge of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in accomplishing well-defined tasks
• Strong communication skills, with ability to articulate relevant technologies and processes to others in the technical group and provide project updates to non-technical key stakeholders
• Design Control experience preferred
• Previous knowledge or experience in field of Medical Device would be added advantage
• Previous knowledge or experience in polymer films, bonding technology would be added advantage
