Systems Support Analyst

Our client, a medical device company in Galway are currently looking to recruit a Systems Support Analyst for their site.

Job Description
The Systems Support Analyst is a member of the IT Operations team. Reporting to the IT Operations Lead s/he will provide 2nd line technical support to end users within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
? Setup and maintain PC Clients (Desktop/Laptop/Thin Client).
? Maintain and support printers, phones and other hardware.
? Proactively root cause incidents and define requirements for process improvements;
? Client application software installation and support (e.g. MS Office 365, Oracle ERP).
? Carry out routine Infrastructure task e.g. backups, file restores etc.
? Mentor team members and provide backup as required.
? Periodically provide 1st level support to users for all issues raised by phone, email, self-service or face to face
? Documentation of processes and procedures.
? Any other duties as required.

Key Competencies (Education/Skills/Experience):
? Associate Degree or equivalent work experience.
? Minimum 3 -5 years? experience in a related field.
? Microsoft Desktop Support certification essential
? Proficiency in Windows 7 essential & Windows 10 desirable
? Experience supporting O365 environment essential. Specifically, MS-Outlook & Skype for Business
? Working knowledge of using and supporting ITIL processes.
? Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures within particular field.
? Demonstrated ability to drive & solve technical issues through to completion.
? Familiar with Networks and IT infrastructure.
? Excellent team player.
? Resourceful, self-educating and self-motivating.
? Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
? You must have strong organisation and time management skills and require minimal supervision.
? Motivated self-starter with a ?can-do? attitude who works well under pressure to tight and varied deadlines.
? You may be required to work flexible start/finish times and out of hours rota.
? You may be required to travel to other sites.
