SEKO MedTec/Sutherland Global Logistics establishes European Control Centre in Galway creating 30 jobs.
SEKO MedTec/SGL is headquartered in State College, Pennsylvania, USA and is a strategic partner to SEKO Worldwide, offering a specialised suite of time-definite supply chain services. SGL manages and develops SEKO’s healthcare brand – SEKO MedTec Solutions. The proposed SGL European Control Centre, will manage and deliver SEKO’s MedTec brand across Europe.
Mr Robert Shearer, Managing Director, noted “In the US we control and optimise movement and distribution of finished goods, demonstration goods and returns/repairs for many of the top Global Medical Device Manufacturers through our 5 dedicated DCs all controlled by our state-of-the-art Control tower located in State College, PA. We employ best practices for our customers through a dedicated, specialised distribution network. Our new European Control Centre in Galway will replicate and expand this process and will be central to ensuring we offer these and other clients a seamless, controlled and cost effective service across both US and European Continents. Galway is our preferred location because of the talent pool of well-educated people with a deep knowledge of the Medical Technology industry sector.
