The long road home…..

After recently making the move back to Ireland after 5 years away in Australia my answer is a resounding YES! I believe I have just got involved in what seems to be strong rebuilding of the jobs market here in Ireland. Luckily for me because I work in recruitment and presently there are job opportunities for skilled people working in manufacturing engineering, project engineering, NPI Engineering, Industrial engineering, Automation engineering, Equipment Engineering….and the list goes on.

The increased demand from top companies offering job opportunities to engineering professionals is definitely apparent.

From a personal perspective along with research I have done I am very optimistic about my move home to Ireland and the opportunities available here. Research shows that jobs lost in Ireland during the recession are said to be totally recovered by 2018 with Australia seeing the biggest fall in popularity, with the number of people arriving from Ireland declining by 35 per cent, from 15,400 to 10,000.

The recession may have cast a gloom over the population with many skilled and educated Engineers emigrating to Australia, particular the year 2012 as the number of Irish people packing their bags and heading down under soared at its peak to 18,200. The good news is we are seeing a turn around with people coming home due to the growth in the jobs market.

Recent surveys show that 76% of Irish businesses are employing new staff in 2015, while 71% of employers increased their headcount in the last year. We at CCP recruitment have noticed a massive turnaround in the market and are recruiting across all sectors. So if you are thinking of making that long journey home or just exploring potential job opportunities give me a call on 091730022 or 0214536160 or send on your CV to anna@ccprecruit.ie
