Warehouse Supervisor

We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our clients team in Athlone. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Managing and leading a team of warehouse operatives, supporting the business needs of five manufacturing business units operating in a 24-hour environment.
  • Ensuring the smooth day to day running of the warehouse and logistics areas including raw material, components and finished goods flows, maintaining inventory accuracy through cycle counting, management of storage locations (inside and outside) and external warehouses.
  • Promoting Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Policies and Procedures.
  • Ensuring that Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) & Good Documentation Practices (GDP) are followed and ensuring compliance to the ISO 13485 Quality System and FDA standards.
  • Training, development and providing mentorship support for the warehouse operatives including equipment training by external providers and safety training coordinated by the EHS department, etc.

 

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, we require (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • IMI Certificate/Diploma in Supervisory Management or equivalent (completed and verified prior to start).
  • At least 3 years of relevant industry experience in a busy high-volume warehouse in a private, public, government or military environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with good people interaction skills, a leader who can communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management and is able to get the best out of their team.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills. Capable of working on own initiative and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Email, etc.
  • Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
  • Oracle experience would be an advantage or equivalent e.g., SAP ERP Database.
  • IPICS or equivalent qualification in supply chain or inventory management.
