When people hear that HERO is launching a dedicated executive search division, they might think this is something new for us.

The truth is, it isn’t new at all.

We have been working in the senior leadership market since the late 90s. I placed my first Site Leader with a major US medtech multinational in 2000. I still remember the importance of that appointment, not just for the company, but for the people, the site and the future growth of the business.

That was over two decades ago, and since then, my team and I have had the privilege of placing senior leaders, directors and C-suite executives across many functions, sectors and industries. From life sciences, medtech and manufacturing to engineering, digital transformation, commercial, operations, quality, regulatory, finance and HR, we have worked on leadership appointments that have genuinely shaped businesses.

So why launch HERO ONE now?

Because this work deserves its own focus.

Executive search is different. Senior leadership appointments are not just about filling a role. They are about trust, timing, discretion and judgement. They are about understanding the business behind the brief, the people behind the CV and the impact one appointment can have across an entire organisation.

For me, this launch is personal. It reflects the work we have already been doing for many years, but it also marks a new chapter for HERO.
